Singer George Michael is speaking out after an accident in London in which his Range Rover crashed into the back of a truck, according to E! Online. Michael told the BBC, “Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober. We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight.” Michael recently started driving again after a two-year ban.
Two cable TV series are ending their runs, according to the New York Times. The TNT show Saving Grace, which stars Holly Hunter, is wrapping up next summer; the network is cancelling the show due to financial reasons. Also, Comedy Central has pulled the plug on Reno 911!; its sixth season ended in July and it was officially cancelled Aug. 13.
The recent issue of Rolling Stone that featured out American Idol finalist Adam Lambert is the magazine’s best-selling issue of the year so far, according to an Advocate.com item. Lambert, 27, officially came out of the closet in the magazine’s June 25 issue. “I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me,” said Lambert, whose debut CD will be released this fall.
